Mark Jepsen, Nov 16, 2009, 11:46AM ESTHey Sarah! I'm just popping in to post some annoying pings, and I didn't want you to feel left out! Okay, now that the formalities are out of the way... would you please DO SOMETHING about Boehner and McConnell! I've just about gotten Michelle Bachmann involuntarily relegated to the loony bin (I figure one or two more appearances with Hannity and that'll be a done deal!) so you know I've been doing my part!
I see Barb is talking about urine and bladders and such. I can't compete with that. The best that I can do is share this little tidbit: I know what time it is by the sensations relayed by my bladder. Have a pleasant day. -
Barb (Gather Site Ferret) Carlson, Nov 13, 2009, 10:52PM ESTI watched a vet do it to get a sterile urine sample. Then one holiday weekend I had a ferret that blocked and I needed to keep him alive until the Casodex kicked in. I've flet enough ferrets now that I know what the bladder feels like, but when you go to stick it, it's still a stick in the dark. I take blood the same way ... from the clavicle vein (no shaving needed).
-
Barb (Gather Site Ferret) Carlson, Nov 13, 2009, 10:00PM ESTI gave him a torb shot (doped him up good) and used a big syringe to draw out 60cc of urine. That's a LOT out of a little ferret. He's going to the vet's tommorrow at 11am where we will decide if he lives or dies. He has a terrible lump where I punctured him this morning. I must have hit his spleen. It's amazing he didn't bleed to death during the day. I'm just trying to help him and I may well have sealed his fate. :(

Barb (Gather Site Ferret) Carlson, Nov 13, 2009, 9:27PM ESTI used the img src thing with the url in quotes ... it worked for me.

Peter Joseph Swanson, Nov 13, 2009, 6:36PM ESTYou're so smart. Thank you for the tip, you know I'll need it from time to time - ah ha
